WHY DOESN’T CITY WANT US TO VOTE?

The City of Santa Clarita is not trying to stop a vote. The City’s only concern is that we be properly informed. The City of Santa Clarita wants us to hear the whole story, both pro and con. The City does not want us to be misinformed and sign a petition which is really intended to stop annexation without a vote.

The truth is the gentleman is circulating a petition to stop annexation. Please read the top very carefully. It clearly states that “I am OPPOSED to the annexation of Stonecrest”. While he is publicly telling us that he is trying to collect enough signatures to bring it to a vote; he is actually trying to collect enough signatures to stop the annexation. To prove this point, just ask him for an accounting of all the people that have signed the petition. Although, this is public information we are sure he will refuse.
