Storm Water Utility

The City’s annual $24 Storm Water Utility fee provides the following services:

• Street sweeping
• Clean out of storm water catch basins
• Inspection of construction sites to ensure adequate site maintenance
• Provides for inspections, monitoring and enforcement to ensure water quality standards are being met by:
      o Restaurants, auto service facilities and gas stations
      o Enforcement of non-storm water discharges to the storm drain
      o Enforcement of illegal connections to the storm drain system
      o Enforcement of all non-stormwater discharges into the storm drain system or the        Santa Clara River
• Places requirements on certain development and redevelopments to clean up the storm water coming off of their property
• Track, respond to and implement all Federal and State requirements concerning storm water
• Ensure all City activities are performed according to all Federal and State storm water requirements
