Taxes
& Fees
Annexation saves
you money! Click on the links below to read more about the lower
fees and taxes that annexation provides! See
map for details of annexation.
- City residents
do not pay the 5% utility users tax
that County residents pay, saving residents an average of about
$200 annually. Also, city residents pay a substantially less
trash collection fee and receive better services, saving residents
about $70 annually. And no fuel surcharge.
- The City
assesses a higher streetlight fee
and a new stormwater fee, however,
these higher fees are more than offset by the reduction in the
above listed taxes and fees. These increased fees total an average
$69 annually.
- Lower
Stonecrest residents will also be assessed for an inflationary
increase to the LMD fee cap. This increase
averages only $24 annually over 10 years and is more than offset
by the reduction in taxes and fees.
- The Upper
Stonecrest HOA will not be affected
by the annexation.
